Below is a collated website resource that I have found with important fundamental design knowledge and a great source for useful design inspiration. These websites, I wish I had known about these when I was still studying, and these helped me move up in my knowledge and skills.

Design Kit

The website provides resources focusing on human-centred design. You can learn about different methods that you can use to understand your target audience and unleash creativity to answer difficult questions such as how to run inspiration, ideation and implementation activities. Explanations of mindsets and case studies

Laws of UX

Contains a collection of best practices that designers can consider when creating interfaces, solving problems or on your day-to-day. It covers Heuristics, Principles, Gestalt and Cognitive Biases.

Humane By Design

The website focuses on guiding for designing humane digital products. The guidance is relevant today with the increase in mobile technology that should be enhancing our life, which can sometimes be used to do the opposite.

Principles.Design

This website is a great source of inspiration when you are building your team’s own set of principles. It contains design principles from top companies such as Airbnb, Atlassian, Bing, etc.

52 Weeks of UX

This website provides you with a piece of learning about UX over 52 weeks. You can move ahead if you have time but the concept of it is quite great. The website is a little old and seems to be having navigational issues but the content is interesting and timeless.

Nielsen Norman Group – Articles

Well recognised in the design world their website is a treasure chest for designs. Their content resources cover basic guidelines in design, research/reports, case studies, terminology, position descriptions, etc.

Some articles also come in video format for when you dont want to read.

Baymard

This website contains 88,000+ hours of UX research. Free and premium research is available. The free research covers 336 UX articles, 185 top websites(ranked by UX performance), and 12,000 annotated designs for inspiration.

There are obviously limited websites out there probably better than the ones I provided. Hopefully, this will get someone started and help them out wherever they are in their career/growth. I will share more in the future.
